If it is not the EWS then I would try to see if the fuel pump is working. The relay is in the fuze box area of the engine compartment. Check your manual for the exact location. I would jumper the fuel pump relay and listen for the fuel pump to run. Key position doesn't matter because when you jumper the fuel pump relay the pump will get power immediately. If you turn the fuel pump relay over you will see some numbers on the bottom. You want to jumper from 30 to 87. You need a couple of male prongs and a piece of 14 ga wire minimum. Once you jumper the relay you should hear the pump immediately run. If not then you have a fuel pump problem. This is the most likely cause of a car that will crank but not start. Fuel pump relay bad. The other most common causes are a relay for the DME so try the pump first...
