The x-brace was designed to prevent the car's frame from twisting. If that doesn't reduce body roll I'm not sure how a sway bar would.
Additionally, the intended effect of reducing body roll is, quote: "so that it sticks to the road like s**t to a shovel." I'm not sure you will find anyone that says otherwise of the x-brace.
