Default 2008 BMW Ultimate Drive supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Just thought I'd let everyone know that this years BMW Ultimate Drive supporting the Komen Foundation has started. For those that haven't heard about it before, it's a completely free event. You basically go to one of the events, drive a new BMW or two, and for every mile you drive BMW donates $1 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. In the last 11 years they've donated over $11million to the foundation. This summer will be my fourth year participating, and third year where I make it an all-day event (simply make sure that no car sits idle). You must be at least 21 years old to drive (some cars you have to be older) with a valid driver's license. Here's a link to this year's route map. For those curious what vehicles are available this year, the list follows:

Z4 Coupe 3.0si
Z4 Roadster 3.0si (x2)
328xi
328Cic
335ci
M3 (30+ years old)
535i
535xiT
550i (25+)
650Ci (25+)
650Cic (25+)
760Li (x2; 25+)
Alpina B7 (30+)
X5 3.0si (x2)
X5 4.8i

I was hoping to see the 1-series and X6 on the list this year (the first event was Feb. 13 and they had an M3), but it looks like we have to wait until next year, although this year's signature vehicle is an X6.

You can register on the website (about a month in advance) and select two vehicles and time-slots, or you can just show up the day of the event, however if you just show up you won't be guaranteed a certain car. If you're interested in the M3, Alpina B7, or 650Cic I highly recommend you register the first day possible, as they are/will be the most requested vehicles (first year for the M3 and Alpina). If anything, this gives you a chance to drive some of the new BMWs (the Z4 Coupe and 335s were very fun last year) and support a good cause at the same time. Just be warned, you're on your own for any speeding tickets you get (don't ask me how I know).
