No. They are two seperate systems. LSD is mechanical, completely contained in the diff. housing. The traction control uses a throttle plate to stop air flow to the engine, thus controlling engine power, and it also uses the brakes to control wheel spin.

No, they can coexist together. In fact, they work better together. I've had both setups and I prefer TC and LSD.
