Nice looking example! The weak link in ti's (and all E-36's, for that matter) is the cooling system. As long as you are replacing the radiator anyway, I would change out the water pump, thermostat, and the two plastic water pipes on the back of the engine next to the fire wall. You can ruin a head gasket or even the head in a few moments of overheating at speed. Pull over immediately, and determine the problem, if the heat gauge needle ever moves past 12 o'clock. The cooling system is essentially a time bomb unless components are replaced preventatively, based on mileage, 60 to 100k. Cheers, John |
