My project still isn't quite finished
It's a long time in the works... Others have done the swap in a couple weeks, some just a few days even. Mine has been going on for over a year and even though the previous owner replaced most of the common wear items, I've still had my hands full with little odds and ends trying to make everything just right. When my swap is done, it'll be a completely new car exactly how BMW would have engineered it had they dropped a Motorsport powerplant into it from the factory. So far, I've done all of my own work and fabricating. Many of the parts I've installed were used but I personally took the time to clean/polish/rebuild everything prior to installation. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the drivetrain and engine compartment. I can't stand oil leaks, extra brackets and/or extra wires. My wheels come back from the powder coater on Tuesday, still need a hood, alternator and fluids
