Most of us are most or less free to do what we want but it's down to the individual to set his or her own moral standards; standards that he or she are comfortable to live with.
My own personal opinion, and please don't take this the wrong way and think it is some kind of lecture, is that the western world's morals have gone to pot. I am totally non-religious but I feel if people took more notice of the seven deadly sins we would all be a lot better of.
I don't think that the seven deadly sins has anything to do with religion; I feel they are purely a guideline to enable a group of people to live together in a civilised manner. I am not saying that we should all adhere to them 100 per cent but I am suggesting that if we took more notice of them there would be less strife in the world. |
