I "fixed" mine a while ago, but never posted it here.
I pulled it out, scrubbed the foam off with a dry scrub brush, acetone washed the glue residue off, and then painted it with semi-gloss black.
Poped it back in and it will never sag.
I MAY cover it with something later, but honestly it looks just fine as a cluster of threads up there... It DID take a lot of paint to make it solid black with no streaks. A full size auto paint sprayer makes a lot of sense if you have one.
The a-pillar covers just got the (purple) fabric pulled off, and that's it- done. The clips are in bad shape so I might splurge on some new covers... |
