Dunno if it hurts anything, but I've been doing it for a while, and I haven't noticed any damage done yet. Probably just a matter of time. But usually what I do is just start accelerating, turn really hard and floor it as the same time, and prepare for a slight counter steer. Perfect to do at stop signs.
