It's a little tight back there, I guess you'll see that when you open it up. There used to be a German company that made adapter plates for 6 inch speakers (they sold thru Ebay.de). I have not seen those for sale anywhere, they had disappeared from the market years ago before I even had the car, LOL.. It just so happens that the 4 inch was the easiest solution...
