Default Adding turbo to stock m42 Club Sport???

I don't want to get into a debate over SC or turbo. I am looking for some input on if it is possible to run a light pressure turbo setup on a stock M42 ti. I have a '95 Clubsport with 165k on it. It has been my daily driver for the past 10 years. The car has been flawless and I plan on keeping it for as long as I can, it just needs a little more get up and go. It doesn't need to be a rocket, just looking for a little more power. I have a 300 hp Volvo V70R if I need a rocket. I also have a complete spare engine and transmission w 70k on it as well out of another clubsport that had a 6 cyl swap.

For some reason I just like the idea of a turbo setup. The SC is way too expensive, $3800.
I am a mechanical engineer, and design custom medical machine so this seems like it would a fun project. I have access to a welder, full CNC machine shop and water jet.

I am just not sure if the stock fuel injection ect are up to handleing the added boost. Everything that I have seen for the most part is related to an M44 or using a standalone FI management system.

Those who have experience please comment?

Thanks
