Default Bimmerfest 2010 May 22, 2010 Pasadena, California

Bimmerfest is one, if not, the largest BMW gathering in the US and im planning on driving out to it this upcoming year with the new 357Tii. I thought id post up here to see if any of the other ti guys would be willing and wanting to join the caravan for this trip?

Here is the basic route we're taking to get there, but the trip home will involve us going north, mount rushmore, the bad lands, and some other scenic routes before heading into Chicago and heading home on the turnpike.

What is bimmerfest?

Bimmerfest is the celebration of being a BMW enthusiast...whether through ownership or admiration. Now in its 8th year, bimmerfest attracts well over 1,500 BMWs, 5,000 total attendees, 35 automotive related vendors and 7 major magazines for coverage! It is an experience that enthusiasts look forward to from the first day they can register online for the event until arriving and enjoying the day.

Why attend bimmerfest?

Bimmerfest is the single largest BMW event held in North America today bringing thousands of enthusiasts together to enjoy all aspects of the BMW world. Whether you are a lifetime owner, first time owner, perspective owner or just a fan of great german engineering, bimmerfest is an incredible event to experience!

A note from 2008's Bimmerfest:

Bimmerfest 2008 - The Ultimate BMW Show
May 3, 2008 - Santa Barbara, CA - Earl Warren Showgrounds

This year we celebrate the 9th annual Bimmerfest show in the incredible city of Santa Barbara, CA on May 3, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM! We are happy to once again be returning to the Earl Warren Showgrounds and expect to have the biggest and best show once more this year.

In 2007, Bimmerfest blew by all expectations and attracted approximatley 2,000 BMWs and roughly 5,000 total attendees! In addition to our incredible crowd, the 2007 show also featured the largest display of BMW products including a showing from the BMW Performance Driving School coming all the way from Greer, SC! This year, you can once again expect to be exposed to the latest and greatest products from BMW and BMW aftermarket tuners as well as exceptional presentations from some of the leading tuners in the BMW industry!

We are also pleased to announce that the 2008 Headline sponsor is http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com who is planning on brining their latest and greatest projects to the show including their now world famous HPF750 E46 M3 Turbo System!

Mark your calendars today and start making plans to come to the most anticipated car show of the year, Bimmerfest 2008! More details including the online registration for the show will be coming shortly so keep checking back at http://wwww.bimmerfest2008.com or reading on the Bimmerfest 2008 Discussion Forums!

I copied and pasted from my local forum, sorry if this doesnt go well with some of you guys.

Ive been looking at timeframes and planning the trip out a bit more and have come up with a few ideas.

Leave Wednesday, April 28th, drive towards California, stopping at the Grand Canyon and a few other landmarks in between. There will be small pit-stops for others joining the Caravan from other states and areas for rendezvous. From there, we stop in Santa Barbara for the night, Friday night, and get a room (which should be reserved ASAP) so we can avoid higher rates and guarantee our spots for the night. Bimmerfest is like 9:00am to 4:00pm i think. After that, that gives us time to roll around California for a bit and then settle for the night or possible clubbing for those of you of age. Sunday, we leave Towards the north, head through the Rocky mountains, check out Mount Rushmore, and a few other sites heading towards home.

This will take some time, thats why its called sightseeing. Im thinking we will be out and about for a solid two days unless we continuously drive, which i know most people dont want to do, so wed need to find a place to stay or do some kind of bmw camping. From there, we head home on the turnpike leading into toledo. The other option is to take the route, on the first page, back home directly. End of trip would likely be the following Tuesday, May 4th, leaving you a day of rest before going back to work on Wednesday or Thursday.

Anyone down for it?
