Med case diff, NO half shafts fit now... >:O I have swapped up to a 3.15 torsen med case diff. First I bought wayyy too beefy z3m axles which were much too big on the hub side. Then I ordered e30 half shafts which, and I'm not losing my mind here, are LONGER than my stock ti halfshafts. Also have bigger axle nuts which were not included. Since I had the original diff and stock halfshafts, which were the shortest ones I had, I installed these parts. The ti output flanges are machined to 'snap' in at a different location than the e30s and slightly out from the diff. For this next step, I went ahead and bumped them all the way in. SO, when I put in the ti axles guess what happened?,. My ass end got a lift since the axles won't even let the rear drop all the way. My question is, where did I go wrong? Only makes since to me that somehow my 'e30' half shafts are longer than normal and I should ignore insanity and order another pair... __________________ Ian |
