Who would do it on a BMW? I see them all the time at the track. Less weight because of less piping and less restriction. Pretty common for people to want to do track mods to their street cars.



Only thing to be aware of is the gas/brake lines run just inside of the frame rail on the driver side. So in reality, I wouldn't do dual side dumps, you don't need that much output. Just do a single dump on the passenger side. That is what I have usually seen. This way you don't have to worry about routing any exhaust around gas lines, or under the driveline.

I would also think twice about doing 2.5" piping on the Ti, again, doesn't need that big of an exhaust, and your low end torque will probably suffer to much. 2 or 2.25 at the most without some sort of FI.
