there are two screws under the actual ash tray part. disconnecting all the ligher parts are kinda difficult...or at least the illumination one. i actually used a 12 volt dc power socket from auto zone instead of the actual lighter...its basically a lighter with the little rubber cap...that way its closed, but doesnt have the lighter in it since i dont smoke.
i actually just ditched the illumination wire...and just used the power and grounds...note to relocate the lighter, you mus make a wired extension using spade connectors and more wire to make it reach. __________________ 1995 318ti Active
