The tu dual vanos engine came along in 99/2000, along with the switch to the E46 platform. If you are going to go with a dual vanos engine, go "all in" and get an S54. It will be the same work and 333 hp... which is almost 100 more than you need, particularly in a gutted track car. If I had time/money/space I'd do an S54 ti for the track. Or S50 B32 Euro engine conversion. But S54's are cheaper and easier to get. |
