One could DIY the entire PS system (rack, pump, reservoir, hoses) for probably under $500. The automatic wouldn't be preferable to me but they are sorta nice for commuting and I've been in some automatic ti's that weren't slouches with some minor mods. I'd be more concerned about how slammed it appears be, how it was actually lowered, and how the current/previous owners treated it on city streets being that low. The underside is definitely the first thing I'd check if I were looking at it. Mushroomed strut towers would be #2.
