My 1997 328i was stolen/wrecked a couple weeks ago, and I just bought it back from the insurance company for $430. It only has 114k miles and has been meticulously maintained by our family since we bought it from SF BMW at 33k miles. My 1996 318ti will be the proud recipient of this engine...
I've done a lot of swaps over the years (Sidekick into rock-crawler Samurai, Subaru Legacy engine into Vanagon, WRX into Porsche 914, etc.), so I'm not scared of this swap. But a comprehensive manual is always a welcome guide!
