Four tis and about 7 different dmes and engines, whether it's m42 or m44 they contain ews2 in a 318ti including early clubsport models. In order to use a stock dme as a replacement on an m42, it'd need to be flashed becaue of ews2 or an earlier e36 non-ti m42 dme must be used and the ews signal cut. That leaves you with 92, 93, and 94, not always the easiest to come by in the sale market but moreso at a junkyard of some sort. I've tried interchanging dmes numerous times and it works like a charm just like using red label dmes for swaps and ability to change the dme on the fly if needed. Otherwise, silver label to silver label never worked whether it was m42 or m44 __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 Last edited by Bluebimma; 03-01-2012 at 03:51 PM. |
