I'm not sure those "good paying jobs" actually exist.
I got my job as an embedded systems engineer. I think it was a good paying job. I doubt someone unskilled could get it. Furthermore, the company would lose out by attempting to fill the job with someone unskilled just so they could pay (say half what I was making).
I don't think small business owners are out giving jobs to undocumented workers (how's that instead of "illegals"?) just because they are there and will work for cheap. They get those jobs because the are willing to work for what the business can AFFORD to pay.
Also, like I mentioned before, THERE is a shortage of citizens who are actively looking for the jobs that undocumented workers are supposedly stealing away. |
