Be careful with some dealers. In 2005 I was working in Syracuse and my gf at the time was looking to buy a car. I found one online at a dealership about 1.5 hours away. I called them say around 9am to ask if they still had it, verify the info I saw online. I rented a car, drove there (w/ my gf - it was a Hyundai dealership [I think it was a 2003 accord that we were going to see]). I get there and they don't have the damn car. Not only don't they have it, apparently it was somehow involved in an accident a few weeks prior to me calling them that morning. No surprises that they couldn't locate the person I'd spoken to earlier at 9am. Suffice to say, I was not happy. The idiots tried to sell us something else on their lot too. . . they must have been really hard up to try and make a sale given how obviously pissed I was. |
