That's too bad about the waterpump.
Even more too bad about the 380 clams. Especially when you think about the fact that parts were only about 100, tops.
I don't think I'd get too worried that it could be an indicator of troubles to come. Waterpumps are known to let go. I've got 91K miles and haven't replaced mine yet. I'm curious about anyone else having this happen.... Does it give any warning? Strange sounds? Or does it just get hot? I would rather get a jump on it for a few $$ and do it on my time, rather than the other way around.
