Lowering the steering wheel

Hey guys, I was thinking of putting a spacer between the steering column and the mounting bracket to lower the steering wheel and angle it downwards. anyone ever try this? any comments?

Took advantage of the long weekend and tackled this job. It makes it easier to take the valve cover off, I changed the valve cover while I was at it. btw thanks for the info.

I basically used 286mm rotors with the wider...

I basically used 286mm rotors with the wider carrier. both are from a 325i/328i e36. I used the same caliper I had on my car..hope that helps..
