285's fit with ease. I needed 20mm spacers in front to clear the struts, 12mm + hammer work in the rear to clear subframe and chassis. Lots of room under the car now. 305s will fit

I took my rear bar out a couple years ago...no regrets here. I do have some sort of eccentric bushing/camber kit in the rear (installed by p.o.). I do more track events than autox, fwiw.

I recommend against it. These compact batteries dont have the cold cranking amps (CCA) that the full size batts have. It will strand you, bet on it.
