Neo Pro Link for IPOD

has any one tried the Neo Pro Link PODBMWV1S, in a 1996 318ti?

This is the only product of its kind that does have the * saying it wont work with the 1996 model, but i'm not sure i believe that there product is some how different from the rest.

If someone knows anything let us knew.
