Euro pic post Post your favorite picks of BMW compacts, but they can't be from the states. You might have a hard time reading it but this is my all time favorite compact or should i say kompact. http://www.bmw-freunde.de/miche.html |
c'mon bump people, lets see some pics |
Damn, that is one niiice Ti....It makes me wanna swap my wheels for some deep-dish 3-piece ones. |
It looks nice because its so simple and clean. I like how they didn't to too many exterior mods. The E46 front bumper looks good on it too. |
Those wheels are 500 a pc rear and 370 front. I looked em up cause i wanted them. |
Here is my 318ti. Its a 1996 model and its imported from Germany. http://aegd.cjb.net/dexton/bmw/compact_may2005.jpg The rims were originally for a 330xi E46 and measure 7.5" front and 8.5" rear with 225/45 and 245/40 tires. I am planning on fitting the car with sport Koni's and lower it, but Im not sure how much lowering it needs to look good and still be driveable during the winter ;) I was thinking somewhere around 1.6" front and 0.8" rear. Maybe this is a better angle for judging the amount of lowering needed: http://aegd.cjb.net/dexton/bmw/lower_angle2.jpg' |

Thats one ugly interior |

Well six cyl isnt only positive. They are heavier, so the weight distribution isnt as good as the 318ti. I do think it has an alu block though, so its not that bad really. The six cyl engine will also consume more fuel, but gas is still pretty cheap in the US compared to Europe. Also, parts and service for a six cylinder will be more expensive. Tyler's remark about ugly interior in the German 323ti is mostly because of the colour I think. This is the way my 318ti looks like on the inside. No heated seats, damn germans must be freezing their asses off  http://aegd.cjb.net/dexton/bmw/interior_318ti.jpg It came with a BMW Original CD/radio and NO sunroof  (hint: sun roofs are HEAVY!) |
That interior is in great shape Dexton!I love the euro-steering wheel. |

http://aegd.cjb.net/dexton/bmw/before_after.jpg I still think its a little high in the back(EDIT: not really visible in this pic), I would like it maybe 10mm(0.4") lower. This is with Sport Konis (yellow) and lowering springs 35mm(front) and 15mm(back). Oh, and the old springs looked like this: http://aegd.cjb.net/dexton/bmw/old_springs.jpg Quite happy with the upgrade in terms of handling! Im eager to test it on a track, which I will hopefully do in August  |
