95 Jet Black Club Sport Feeler

I'm really burned out trying to get this thing reliable.
I've fixed a bunch of the typical things.
Valve cover gasket. Oil filter housing bushings.
Replaced missing door vapor barriers.
Replaced microfilter.
Replaced windshield cowling.

Car was running cold when I got it.
Replaced T-stat, hoses and radiator.

Idle was high.
Replaced ICV and every vacuum hose I could find. OK.
Replaced gas filter.

Warning lights weren't working in the cluster.
Replaced cluster.

Replaced hatch gasket and struts.
Interior is in good shape.
Body is good. A little rust.

The bad.
Headliner sagging. Naturally.
Bottom chassis is rusted.
No cat.
Exhaust may need to be replace.

Small water leak in hatch. Improved since I got it.
Needs rear subframe bushings and I'm sure could use bushings through out.

Now it's stalling.

If someone wanted it for $3000, I'd sell it. Otherwise I'll tinker some more with it. I don't have the money to bring it to a shop and I'm not going to give it away. Besides, no one really wants to work on old cars around me. Funny, I'm 25 minutes from BMW Manufacturing. :)

Hatch leak is probably actually the sunroof drains.. common problem on our cars.

Not this time. I think it is a leak in the seams between the outer and inner shell. I siliconed the two and reduced the leak. It's tolerable now.

25 minutes from the plant that created the car and no one wants to mess with it... shame.

sorry to hear it come to this. is this the bad idle car in your other thread?

Car was built in Germany. ;)
Z3 and most of the Xs are built in the US.

And yes. Same car in the other thread. :(

Strange, I always thought the ti was built in Spartanburg also, since they are almost identical to the z3 underneath.
