driveline vibration Okay so I replaced the flex disc and the support bearing in my ti and I still have the same vibration I had before. While driving it is really prominent at 40-45 then diminishes with speed. If you let off the throttle it goes away. I am really frustrated right now since this is my daily vehicle. Anyone have any ideas what it might be? |
Have you checked the condition of the motor mounts, transmission mounts, or differential bushings? |
No I haven't checked those yet. I will put it up in the air and check it out. |
While you're under there look for a spot where a balancing weight may have fallen off the driveshaft. They are usually spot welded on near the ends. |
u-joint |
u-joint it is, the rear one that is. Is it possible to get the u-joint replaced or am I screwed and have to spend a ridiculous amount of money for a new driveshaft? |
screwed |
ClubSport thanks for the confidince builder. LOL. I've got a guy checking on matching up a replacement u-joint that will fit the driveshaft. I've heard of it being done before on non serviceable u-joints. Hopefully he will find something. |
you can search in the classifieds for a ti part out, get a whole driveline that way. just a another option. good luck |
