Next Car???? |
No way they will bring a hatch. I was hoping for a 135 but it looks like I won't be getting it since the housing market has taken such a nose dive. :( |
Well.. you can always have hope. The worse would be to buy a 135 coupe and find out a year later you COULD have got the hatch!!!! ________ weed |

Plans are for a convertible. Who knows how much these will be? **** I wish I could sell my house. Two mortgages and utility bills are killing me. I'm going to have zero once my debts are paid off. Wonder how much 318ti.org is worth. :) |
e46 325Ci next for me ;) |
I'm very picky, about everything I buy. It took awhile to find the right replacement for my Scirocco. Now that the 1 series is in sight, nothing but a 2 door hatch, will entice me to give up my 318ti. If they never bring one to the USA, I will move overseas........again. Quote:

1 series suck, we had one for a work pool car recently. It was just as bad as it looked. 3 series for the win!!! or a 6 if i can ever afford it :) |

i dunno, ever since the anti-suv mazda mp5 became a mainstream hit, 5-dr touring styles have gotten more acceptable here, so i wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of a bmw hatch return in the u.s. what used to be a small niche (vw, subaru, volvo, eg/ek buyers) grew in size to sustain things like the mp5, toyota matrix, all euro compact hatchbacks and touring cars, all those dodge magnums, countless focus wagons and hatchbacks, bla bla... i know bmw is still a lil p*ssy hurt from the pisspoor 318ti sales in the 90s, but they should know that if there ever was a good time to bring a compact hatch over to the u.s., it's now. it seems the rear seats in the 5-dr 1er are pretty damn cramped from everything i've read. why not just bring the 3-dr over along w/ the coupe and call it a day? the 118d 1.8 diesel (63 mpg), 118i 2.0 petrol (38mpg), and 130i 3.0 petrol (265hp, 34mpg). the ti was like an e30 tribute, the new 1er coupe is definitely a nod to the e30s, and this would wrap all that up into a nice ti/e30 tribute. http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/9...imsporthm0.jpg http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/2227/120iur8.jpg |
might be a 1 series but i'm still not in love with the front end. might wait for a facelifted one. 320si's are nice but not very fast or tuneable, but love the fact theyre a homo/btcc/wtcc car. dont want an e46 so probably another e36 before the 1 and e90 3. |

I like it, will look for one in about 10 years. IF BMW was p**y hurt by the low sales of the ti, they don't understand their own marketing. I personally know of 2 people in our small town that went to the dealership to buy a low priced ti and were upsold to a 325. Another bought a ti and then traded it 6 months later for a 325. Now I just bought my first for a song last week and am already looking for another. |
I have a deposit down already for a 135i. I have no idea what it's going to wind up costing me, but I want to have my daughter driving the 'ti between work & home, and school & home. Other than that, I'll still use the 'ti for autox and track events (and on weekends). The 135i will slowly become the autox and track car, once my daughter gets a bit older. She's got a permit now and has been learning to drive on the 'ti. My wife and I won't let her drive the slushie audi we have, until she masters the 3rd petal. :) She's doing great so far. I almost can't wait to get rid of my e90 330i right now, in anticipation of the 135i. I only wish they had a sunroof delete option for those of us in the US. |
