FS: mtec shocks and springs hey guys im selling my mtec shocks and springs from my 97 ti. i just got coilovers and trying to get rid of them. they got 49,000 miles on them. im asking $300 for everything. pm me |
Wow, 49k is pretty low miles for a '97 318ti. Were the shocks and springs replaced with OEM at one point? Being that you're 18, I'm guessing that you're not the original owner. |
no im not the original owner, i bought it from some older guy who was a freak about it and never took it out in the winter or rain. he was the original owner, im the 2nd.i bought with 33,000 miles and in october it will be my second year i owned it. i drove it in one winter, and then bought a beater and hasnt seen winter but a few showers since. and they where never replaced. |

yeah, great deal! I'm very happy with the looks of my Bilstein sports/H&R sport combo but I can't really tell a difference in performance from my OEM Sport set up. |

I would be so happy to have that.. Mine's stock.. I've been wanting to upgrade to sport suspension. Is it lower than stock though? Cuz i have 16s and i do not enjoy the space left between tire and fender in front... I just wish i had the money ;[ |
its lower than stock, i think by a 1/2 inch |
It's closer to a full inch lower then stock. I'll try and find my pictures of mine with the stock sport stuff next to my buddy's car with stock active stuff. I'd guess about 1 - 1.5 inches lower then the stock active. I now have H&R sports and had very little drop from the stock sport springs. |
I am real interested in these, could i get some pics please? |
