What does the Pressure Hose do? I spotted the end of what used to be my pressure hose (#9 in the following diagram) that's non-existent any more. It completely disintegrated in my hand. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...59&hg=11&fg=50 Can anyone tell me what it does? Is it important to replace? I live in Indiana where we don't have emissions regulations. As a side note which is possibly related I get a Check Engine error code for "Secondary Air Control" and my secondary air pump stopped working about 2 years ago. I never cared to replace the $220+ part since it basically improves emissions from cold start, but if this $23 hose is the cause of my non-functioning air pump, maybe I could replace it. Anyway, thanks for any info. sev |
since it's connected to the SAP I'm sure it affects it, but since your SAP hasn't worked for 2 years before the hose got messed up, I'm going to say, just replacing the hose won't fix the SAP |
