Rear Hatch Struts - Fitting Hi, I just bought a pair of Rear Hatch Struts, the same make as the factory installed ones. Just wondering if it's easy to change these? Is it just as simple as pop off old ones and pop on new ones!?! Morgan |
yes it is use a standard screw driver to remove the clips...snap on the new hatch struts and push the clip in with your thumb...as easy as that. |
Excellent thanks very much! |
what if you have the non bmw ones, that are longer. how do you get them on. |
huh? this thread is for strut tower bars under the hood, not the hatch shocks, lol  on topic, does anyone know how good the Cosmo Racing bar is? I'm thinking of getting one |
I have been thinking about getting it for a while...I can't imagine it being too hard to make a functional strut bar...There aren't too many ways to mess it up... |
Will this fit ti's? http://www.enthusiastauto.com/catalo...ent-p-151.html And is it better than this? http://www.enthusiastauto.com/catalo...ace-p-173.html |
don't look like they'll fit, I think they have to go back towards the firewall to clear to top of the M42/44 |
Dang, thought so. The site looks like it caters more towards e36'ers than specifics. |
Are there any bars designed like the racebrace? |
probably not for a 318 |
From the looks of things it won't fit ti's with 4 cylinders in them because I have an S52 in a crate but it looks like it will sit lower in the engine bay than the 4 banger making fitment of the racebrace possible. I am considering one of these myself. |
