Curse of the Ti?
 

Perhaps perhaps not? either way The back of my Boston Green Ti is shorter than it used to be, I should have bought new tires and I have definetly learned my lesson about that. What happened was I have nearly bald maybe 5% tread tires and its been raining all day I was doing 45-50 on the highway and as I was changing lanes, then I hit a puddle? the rear of my car decided to swing about wildly and i spun around 4 or 5 times, I think. Then the back of my car hit the guard rail! Im fine and thank-fully nobody else hit me I thought I was dead when I saw the headlight of a caddilac heading toward me when I was facing the wrong way. anyway thought I woudl share a cool story with everyone and vent a bit.

Bummer dude. I know money is tight for a lot of people right now, but you really can't afford to be driving in the rain with bald tires. Luckily nobody was hurt and no other vehicles were involved.

Yeah it is good that im okay but im hoping i wont have to get rid of the Ti even though i ahve two the other isnt done yet. i can't go through insurance because i dont have collision or really any coverage for that matter just windshield? lol im just hoping it wont cost me an arm and a leg it still drives but my speedo doesnt work thinkign its jsut a wire well see no vibrations no shaking and its still goes in a straight line so i dont think i did any fram damge just my quarter is shot and bumper and shocks maybe the hatch too? we'll have to see. hope for the best expect the worst i guess ? eh

Sorry to hear about your accident, but that's not "the ti curse." The ti Curse is when you get rear-ended because folks supposedly tend to follow the ti too closely.

yeah it will still be happening just gonna have 2 dormant Ti's now sitting in my driveway >.<

Hey man, just crossed my mind, but check the two wires that plug into the back of your differential. That's the speed sensor. I bet the wires got ripped out or it somehow got unplugged during the accident. This would explain the speedometer not working. Good luck!

well im hoping its mostly cosmestic but the trunk/ hatch area got pushed in a few inches trunk floor is probably screwed up and yeah im pretty sure about the speed sensor gettign knocked out cause my spare is all thrown off it probably hit it i was able to drive the car home a few miles no vibrations no shaking it drove quite normal so frame damage is probablt either non existent or very minor i think my trunk is just a bit messed up

Right on man, well start searching the part-out threads on this forum. I know there's a couple hatches you can probably pick up for cheap. Bluebimma has a couple rear bumpers for sale, might be worth a little road trip to save you some cash.

well also luckily my hatch was only scraped no dents just a few mm or so to pull on one edge if that its really the tai light area that got Dunked up pushed in and twisted around. being that its driving fine im hoping its mostly the bumper shocks and such being twisted around that are making it look bad. il get some pics up so you all can see.
