1995 318ti suspension upgrade parts Howdy all, I am new here, sorry to post a question as my first post. I'm having trouble finding suspension upgrade components... all of the complete kits I am seeing say they don't work on the ti, what with the e30 rear suspension. Does anyone know where a complete kit could be found for the 95? I'm looking for a slight drop and performance upgrade if possible, but honestly even the stock components would be better than my bouncy current situation. I have looked here a bit but most of the threads are pretty old with a lot of dead links. I plan to have a local shop install, but would like to buy the parts in advance. Thank you in advance. |
Just pick up telephone and talk to someone reputable, such as Turner, and tell them what you're looking for. They'll put a package together for you that's perfect. And they generally have the best price on Bilstein so it should be competitive too. |
Welcome to the org! Check out www.bimmerbum.com. Ed is a ti enthusiast and will set you off in the right direction. I run Konis and H&Rs and I love it |
+1 to Elan & Jim, both good ways to go about an upgrade. I am running Koni adjustable with a Ground Control coilover conversion for the ti. A pretty aggressive setup for the street but great for auto cross and track days. In the past I have used the H & R "race" springs with the Koni's, they are pretty soft for track use but they do lower the ti nicely & make it look pretty good. Welcome to the .org & good luck. Please post pictures when you can! |
P.S. Where in New Mexico are you located? |
Thanks everyone, I will check those sources out. I'm in Grants, why do you ask? Pretty sure I have the only TI in town! |
My son, (teen ti) is in Fort Defiance. He bought his ti from another .org member in Albuquerque about 2 years ago. |
