1 Cylinder down

Cylinder no.3 (2nd from firewall) gives clicking noise and engine is stumbling a bit. Spark plug or wire?
I've never replaced the plugs yet, so I'll try that first. I replaced the wires last year.

No......it is, I found out, intermittent.
I have a feeling it's the wires. I hear ticking and it bleeds into the stereo. So. it's definitely electical.

BUMP?

Any ideas anyone?

Could be a short in the wires. If you're getting clicking in the stereo, that's from EMFs.

I checked the wires and I think that's the problem.
When this problem occured again; Cyl.3 ticking and engine is slightly lopping, I unplugged No.3 and nothing seems to be affecting the the condition and I got a slight surge/shock. I cleaned it a bit and it got better, but happens intermittently.
Anyways, how big are the stock wires anyway?
I know magnecor has 7, 8 and 8.5mm. BMW wires are $175 and up, and these are $78-95.00
Thanks for the help.

Found the problem

One of the rubber boots is frayed and leaking spark. I've temporary taped it with electrical tape until the new ones arrive.
Thanks y'all.
