Coilover suggestions
 

so iv been searching for coilovers to put on the car and wanted to see what coilovers are available out there. so far im leaning towards the tcklines.

my car is intended for track use only. it has a s50 swap as well so the added weight on the front needs to be considered

should i be looking into TI specific coils or for Z3 etc?

what coils are setup for the added weight of the s50 motor?

i would like to see what people are running

There are kits out there for the 323Ti KW makes a specific set or you could contact Ground Control and have a set built for your needs right here in the USA.

You could convert to E36 M3 front struts for the sway bar linkage set up and utilize the bigger brakes.

Im currently running m3 struts with H&R springs and sway bars

Are your rear shock towers reinforced, being bmw did not design them to be used with springs and shocks.

i just have a rear strut bar without problems, like e30 the steel is heavier at this place

Feal suspension coilovers are amazing. Made in USA, California. Hand assembled and made to your order to any spec, custom valving and spring pressures. Also come with genuine Japanese made Swift springs. Best set up for a ti is front e36 M3 brakes and Z3 6 cyl. spec brakes and wheel hubs/bearings for the rear. I personally run an E30 325 rear subframe, diff., trailing arms and an H&R adjustable sway bar. I will be soon converting my rear differential mount to a double ear mount instead of the factory single ear, using an e36 325 diff. cover plate and bushings. Granted i will be cutting out my rear trunk area and tubing it and therefore creating a mount area for the stronger diff. mount.

I used E46 330i brakes. It is Much bigger than the e36 m3

Its not that much bigger:

E36 M3 front brake disc size 315mm x 28mm
E46 330 front brake disc size 325mm x 25mm

They are thinner too and I am pretty sure the Caliper piston is bigger on the e36 m3 then the 330i - performance wise I think e36 m3 is still better, but the 330i has a bigger rotor so may look cooler.. of course it works fine too.

Oh and lastly, apparently the pads are exactly the same. So e36 m3 > e46 330i

you are right the rotors are bigger in diameter. thats what i meant when i said bigger. :)

to me having it bolt on without any hub replacement was good enough.

then mate it with E34 rear brakes to balance the brake biase
