catalytic converter well i know a couple of yall have removed your cat and i would like to do the same but i was wondering what you did with the second o2 sensor like did you get a bung welded in the new piping or did you just eliminate it, i was told by the guy that was gonna do my exhaust that if i removed my cat that my car would not run right. but i know that some people had done it so i wanted to know how |
I think that if your car is a 1995 I think there is only one 02 sensor. The one sensor is ahead of the cat so there should be no problems. |
Mine runs fine with the rear sensor still in place. (1997 model.) |
oh well i know i have too but i think im just gonna take the cat off and have a bung welded back in place and have it on there with no cat, thanks |
Be carful when you do that if you have ODB-II there may be a problem with removing the second sensor. It will prolly throw a CEL like P0130 B1:S2. This means that there is an error in bank 1 sensor 2. You might check I read that someone got a simm to put in there. I would leave the second sensor in there first and just see how it runs. |
well i got the exhaust ran with a 2.5 piping a magnaflow muffler and a magnaflow resanator, i left one sensor, but talk about loud its problably the loudest car here in warner robins GA, but i like it cause everyone is gonna hear me coming |
My buddy put in dual custom magnaflow magnapacks cat back exhaust system (01 mustang gt) and the thing sounds so sick. Obviously sounds alot diff on a 4banger but hearing that wants me to drop a V8 in my car |

So no C.E.L or anythign different like gas or something else? That is interesting with an OBDII, I thought the light would come on with the 2nd sensor. |
