DDM M3 bumper install 5 Attachment(s) Did the bumper install over the weekend. Removing that "bumper bar" is a pain in the arse!!! Do yourself a favor and use a small hammer to tap out those black plastic fasteners. I was able to reuse all but one of them. Came out pretty well and now I'm pretty much finished the exterior mods. Lots of mods in the 5 months I've owned it. 3 different sets of wheels (sport, Rial and now Contours), changed the mirrors, added Vaders, 2 different bumpers, added intake, strut bar, stainless exhaust and trunk spoiler. Finally happy with the exterior. What do you guys think? Attachment 14131 Attachment 14132 Attachment 14133 Attachment 14134 Attachment 14135 |

Mods Thanks! |
That looks really good! Nice job on the install. About how much did that run you for paint, if you don't mind me asking? |
DDM Paint, primer and clearcoat ran about $40. |
Car is looking great. |
Mods Thanks. It's actually been a lot of fun as most of the work I did myself. You learn a lot about your car (or at least more than you did before you started) doing your own work. I wish I really had a place to work it besides in front of my apartment. If I had an unlimited budget I'd convert it to 5 speed, completely redo the suspension/brakes and add a supercharger. On second thought, I'm just going to buy an M3 sedan and call it a day. For now though, I really enjoy driving this little Beemer. I'm always getting asked "what is that" and the feedback is very positive so far. I'm glad I bought this instead of the Jetta I was considering...LOL:wink: |
