ABS is killing me! Couple of ??

Hello all,

As the title states I have a couple questions regarding my ABS. I've done my homework but still have a few. My ABS started acting as if I had a bad sensor in December. I would be off but after a min or 2 of driving would come on. After a while it's gotten to where it would just come on and stay on. I have since replaced all 4 sensors (bought new off ebay) as well as both relays. Light still stays on. I pulled the sensors today and found one had a chunck of rust on it so I cleaned all 4, cleaned the Rings, and installed again. Also checked all connections. Light still on.

Before I go the ABS pump route, does it take a time for the computer to register/get back on track with the new sensors before light goes out or am I having to go the pump route? Got a baby due any day so trying to keep spending to a minimum + have VA state inspection due next month. ABS light will fail me.

Mine is a 95 without TCS. Help is much appreciated!!

Personally rather than just buying new parts I would go to a place that can read the abs codes.Had that same problem a few months ago and just had codes read

Thanks for responding. I actually read your comments on what you dealt with. Normally I would have done that if it hadn't presented it's self as just a bad sensor. Just wondering if the light going off may be delayed since I just disconnected and reinstalled today. I have a pump on stand by just in case. Everything I have spent, including the pump if needed, is actually less than what it would cost me to get it scanned.

you could have a rotten abs ring?

I cleaned them all and they all looked fine. Or the time being I wound up just opening the cluster and covered the bulb. Passed Inspection. I will get it sorted out in the next month or so and state what the issue was.
