First off, check this out: http://www.318ti.org/forum/search.php

Second, DASC is an Eaton M62 supercharger.

No reason to be a dick man....its a FORUM....why use the search button for every little thing...

If you dont want to reply kindly...DONT REPLY

Adog2107 08-02-2006 09:14 PM

O BTW - SORRY Im at work and cant go on 318ti.org all day and use the search function

DustenT 08-02-2006 09:52 PM

If you can take the time to post a message, you can take the time to search. I'm just trying to keep the forum clean, no need for 100 threads asking the same question, right?

Try to keep your forum posts friendly. Thanks!

Adog2107 08-02-2006 11:30 PM

SORRY IM NOT A "SITE SUPPORTER" ...you are so cool cause you have like 2100 posts...AWESOME....if you cant post and answer my ? then dont POST IN MY THREAD!!!

EarthwormJim 08-02-2006 11:33 PM

Look I really don't know where you're going with this but, there was nothing offensive in DustenT's post.

Second the DASC is an Eaton supercharger, so there really is no way to answer your question.

Adog, sorry to break it to you, but a simple search for DASC and Eaton would've answered your question in less time than it took you to make a new thread. If this were a less common subject, Dusten probably would'nt have said anything, but there are 15 million DASC threads. Oh, and also, Dusten DID answer your question, so you're pretty much making yourself look like an ass.

+1

Dusten edited his post. He may have come off a bit harsher than intended, but the guy is full of info, especially on the DASC. Probably best not to tick him off.

Adog; it's more just a forum courtesy thing. We're not singling you out for being new here (welcome, by the way) nor because you're not a site supporter. The more threads that get made, the less useful a search becomes. Plus, isn't it nicer to be able to figure things out rather than waiting for somebody to get back to you?

It's also best not to come off on the wrong foot. The nicer you are, the more likely we're going to answer your questions.

"Site Supporter" means that I give money to the website administrator to keep this site alive.

I'm sorry if I come across harsh, but this is probably the only forum where people are allowed to post the same questions over and over again without getting warned or banned. I ALWAYS encourage new member to do a search before posting, that way they can take advantage of the past threads/posts covering the same topic. If you post an intelligent question, I will always respond with an intelligent answer if I can. In this case, I did answer your question 13 minutes after you asked it, and I kindly reminded you to do a search.

That really is no excuse.
Site Supporters get no special treatment other than a couple decals in the mail and some additional features.
The search function is not the greatest, especially when a thread has page after page of off topic posts. We all can make this a better place by searching first. Be creative in the search. Then ask questions. AND STAY ON TOPIC.

Perhaps we can make a sticky of the most useful threads for each section? Start with commonly asked questions (kind of a wiki FAQ) and then go as the moderators see fit.

Here we go, going off topic. ;)
For that to work someone would need to be responsible for keeping it up to date.
That someone is not me.

upstatenybimmer 08-03-2006 02:52 AM

it pisses me off to see people wasting their lives arguing on the internet.

on the brighter side, the FAQ thing sounds like a good plan... give the updating duty to someone who has way too much time on their hands. ;)
