help wanted new 318 buyer

hello everyone, im new to this forum. ive been looking for a 318 and i came across a 1999 ti with 95k. its got aftermarket rims exhaust and filter. the problems.... it needs radiator, drivers side: window doesnt work and whole inside of door where handle is really loose, rear tail light is cracked, front headlight doesnt turn on (says it just needs a new bulb), crack in the front bumper on part closest to the ground, and when i took it for a test drive i noticed that when i turned the wheel it made sort of a whiny noise and it didnt track perfectly straight. On the good side it looks really sharp on the outside and seemed like the engine was good. What do you guys think? the only part im really worried about is the noise it made when turning.. hes asking $3400. I am ok with putting like $500 into it in order to fix the problems and im pretty good with fixing things myself. Im not sure if this is a good deal or not because im not very familiar with bmws.

I would not give more than $3,000 for the car. The mods it has makes me think that it has been driven hard, and the rest of your description makes me think that it hasn't been well maintained. You'll spend more like a $1,000 getting it back in shape. Try looking for bone stock car being sold by a non-enthusiast who could afford to keep the car well maintained. And remember the adage: Buy the best car that you can afford rather than buying a cheaper car then having to put money into it. Good luck with your ti hunt. I bought my first ti just before Christmas and couldn't be happier with it.
