Heating Problem So my 98 has had this issue ever since I got it, but during the winter time the car will heat up perfectly fine when its sitting at idle...but when I start driving in this cold weather the needle drops drastically and will hold to right past the blue portion on the gauge...anybody know why? |
This gets asked about once a week. You have a bad thermostat. Replace it and don't forget to bleed the system. http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27983 |
Welcome to the club. Mine does it too. Thermostat is stuck open, but I can't spring 50 bucks for one right now. |
Hey noga if you plan to replace the thermostat make sure to buy the housing also! Bastards tend to chip and crack when you replace them so it's just easier to replace the whole set. Instead of 50, your probably looking at 70-80. Just replaced mine so GL! |
