UK MOT & cat-back pipes Anyone have any problems with the MOT test with a aftermarket pipe fitted? I'm guessing it shouldn't be a problem as long as it's not too loud + emissions should be ok as the stock cat is retained. When I used to run sportsbikes we had to swap our race cans for the stock pipe once a year to get through the test. |
hmmmm, shouldn't be a problem i would have though or i am shagged ;) |
My MOT up in Feb and the exhaust is way too noisy. I need to change it as the previous owner put a really cheap exhaust on and it sounds like a wet fart. What exhaust have you guys got? I want one with a catalytic converter as it'll defo fail the MOT if you don't have one (although my mum’s 2000 plate mini with straight through exhaust and stage 3 heads, superchipped engine always seems to wiz through the MOT?). |
most exhausts available are "cat-back" systems meaning the stock cat stays and you replace from there back (stock resonator and muffler are one long section). |
i got the magnex jobbie. looks and sounds "the business" :) not to chav, not too geek |
