SuperSprint Exhaust For sale

Hey guys, so i was surfing on the bimmerforums for sale thread and came across a guy selling a SuperSprint exhast for his Z3 1.9L. I'm sure someone here is probably looking for something like this. So thought to share before the ebay auction is over.

It seems as though no one has bidded on it yet as well.

+1 for supersprint exhausts. I love the sound of mine.

So the Z3 exhaust fits the ti??

For the 1.9L exhaust, there is the cat back and then different adapter pipes for the different cars. You might need the one that works for the ti, I'm not sure if it is the same as the Z3 pipe or not.

Edit - Looks like it's not the same, bottom of this website shows the different part numbers.

That same site sells the ti adapter for ~$66.

You think that with the adapter piece, this will fit our cars? I want to bid on this but want to make sure it will fit. Shipping on the auction came out to 80 something. Plus the adapter 66. Not sure if its worth it.

I don't know, that is the old single tip design that isn't sold anymore. I'm not sure if it uses the same connecting pipe as the dual tip.

You can see the connector at the flange end of the exhaust on the ebay pics.

uh, have you ever heard of just cutting it and having it weld up to your stock pipes if it does fit??? just a thought....

The old single tip design is what I have on my car. It did not require a connecting pipe. It's one piece from the flange after the cat all the way back, including a resonator. Based on my memory of what mine looks like, this one's going to need some massaging to fit properly. It's interesting that it doesn't have the resonator built in. That might make it a little louder than the actual ti part.

Dammit I should have bought it now yesterday. Just saw one bid, went and logged int at it had already sold.

Platanos 07-11-2010 12:01 AM

I was on the fence since I first saw this post. I called supersprintNA yesterday and they told me that all 1.9l catbacks (old style or new) are all the same. He said I may need the adpater...

I was very back and forth on "buying it now" as I didn't know how many people would be bidding on this. I know most people wait till theres only a few minutes left. I happen to see that someone placed a bid and decided I didn't want to lose it, so I bought it now. It must have been right before you logged in family, sorry.

I am excited to put this on and will post some pics of what was needed to make this work, incase another one pops up.

Thanks for sharing MARV

I should have followed this posting more carefully, that's the same exhaust that I have on my TI. Congrats on the buy, it's a good sounding exhaust. Nice and deep.

Platanos 07-11-2010 12:11 AM

Do you like the sound? Can you compare it to a stromung? Any pics?

I'll go get you a video. Give me ~5min. I bought my TI with this exhaust last week so I couldn't tell you anything else about it.

EDIT: Video is uploading to YouTube. There are a few min remaining.

re-edit: The video says it cannot be uploaded to YouTube and I'm not at all sure why. It doesn't really help that the audio quality was not nearly what I would want it to be and didn't accurately represent what the exhaust sounded like. The best thing I can do for you right now is just assure you not to worry. It's a good sounding exhaust. My car isn't in excellent running condition so I can't really tell you that it sounds like the stromung but it sounds very similar. I don't think it's as loud but it is about as deep in tone.
