1 Cylinder down Cylinder no.3 (2nd from firewall) gives clicking noise and engine is stumbling a bit. Spark plug or wire? I've never replaced the plugs yet, so I'll try that first. I replaced the wires last year. |
You don't use the 4-prong plugs, do you? |

I have a feeling it's the wires. I hear ticking and it bleeds into the stereo. So. it's definitely electical. |

CEL Oh I forgot to mention that the CEL came on. So, I will take a look at what codes its giving out. Thank God I still have the Scanner, Steven.... |
BUMP? Any ideas anyone? |
Could be a short in the wires. If you're getting clicking in the stereo, that's from EMFs. |
I checked the wires and I think that's the problem. When this problem occured again; Cyl.3 ticking and engine is slightly lopping, I unplugged No.3 and nothing seems to be affecting the the condition and I got a slight surge/shock. I cleaned it a bit and it got better, but happens intermittently. Anyways, how big are the stock wires anyway? I know magnecor has 7, 8 and 8.5mm. BMW wires are $175 and up, and these are $78-95.00 Thanks for the help. |
Found the problem One of the rubber boots is frayed and leaking spark. I've temporary taped it with electrical tape until the new ones arrive. Thanks y'all. |
