Prices for US 128i and 135i released

1 Attachment(s)
128i at $29,375 and 135i at $35,600 (from 1addicts.com)

I'm still in for a 135i with sport, premium, ipod/usb, and ass warmers. It's about $600 more than most people predicted.

Edit: the above prices contained destination charges as well:

Those will be fun.

Nice...I need to drive one.

Too bad I don't get a car club discount. :(

Fortunately they'll likely produce enough of these things that you/we won't have to pay over MSRP for it. I'm thinking maybe BMW European delivery can pay for my '09 trip to the Nurburing.

I was hoping to do ED for our 20th wedding anniversary. That would be next Sept.

Bozola 11-15-2007 03:45 AM

I think that this price will do this car in.

$ spent vs perceived value -> Small niche appeal

I think it's fair. Look at what a low-end 3er cost now. It'll keep the civic kids from buying them that's for sure. They are aiming at the Audi TT/A3 market.

Awesome! You're 7 months ahead of me. Mine is on 4/8/09. Congrats.

I'm still unsure about ED, but it's likely. The only thing that's got me on the fence is that I was just there a couple months ago. Well, that and attempting to shoehorn my two teenage daughters in the back seat of the 135i and driving to the UK with luggage for four.

True, and it will absolutely eat both of those cars for lunch.

Why not? You should be able to use membership rewards, or do you work for BMW? (which is a possibility, seeing where you live)

Bozola 11-15-2007 04:12 AM

I think the A3 will go the way of the C230 and the Ti... in the US at least.

I tend to agree. The dealership uses them as loners here, likely because they didn't sell...

Bozola 11-15-2007 04:30 AM

Dusten,

Your first comment about BMW going for the A3/TT market seems to contradict your last statement.

I stand by my statement.... niche player, small sales numbers.

But I hope I am wrong and I can still buy '1' in 3-4 years.

I could use membership rewards although it has not been announced by BMW NA yet.
At the most it will be only $500.00.
I work for BMW CCA.
