Scraping Noise When Turning Left

I'm having a problem with my Ti when turning left.

When I take a left turn, at any speed other than crawling along, I get a rubbing/scraping noise that seems to be coming from the left front wheel. It used to just happen during the turn but has now started to continue once I straighten up the wheel again. The noise changes in frequency with the speed of the car and only goes away once I bring the car to a complete stop. Once I move off again, the noise is gone.
I took the wheel off earlier and bent the protective metal cover back a bit more from the wheel, but its still making the noise.
I've done a search but didn't seem to find my exact problem.

Was wondering did anyone else have a solution to this problem.

Cheers.

i know somwone had this problem, so the thread is on here, is deals with the tire rubbing the wall. and if i m not mistaken, the guy cut a piece out where it was rubbing, and all is better now. See if there's any rub marks in the wheel well.

No sign of rubbing in the wheel well but I'll have a look for that thread. Thanks

Quick update

Thrust bearing went in my clutch last week and just got it back today. Scraping noise is gone!

Tell me about it! My mechanic doesn't understand it either. But we tried all the maneouvers that caused it before and not a peep from it.
Happy days as far as I'm concerned!

Update. Mechanic phoned me earlier to say he'd remembered that he adjusted the heat shield over the driveshaft when he was putting the new clutch in, as it was out of postition slightly. He's convinced this was the original cause of the scraping noise.

ah ... the force of cornering must have brought it into contact with the driveshaft then. see my gallery for pics of almost every heat shield from front to back ;)

On the plastic piece that covers the whhel well did any of the screws come out that hold it down?
