Is it overhearing after it runs for just like 5-10 minutes..?

If so, I had the same problem. Turned out to be something with the AC system (heat to be exact). Some valve door thing was stuck in a certain position or some ****. Worst part was, it was right after I got the AC worked on, so obviously they did it, and they didn't cover the cost of the fix. Cost me another $300 on top of the first repair. Bastards...

worditsmenick 11-11-2005 02:54 AM

**** wow.....yeah it overheats after a few mins.

Slynke 11-11-2005 02:58 AM

If you wanted to be REAL careful, I'd just have it towed to an AC place (preferrably a place that works on Euros often) and let them take care of it.

Me, well I can't afford that. I just drove it, watching the engine temp. Once it hit red, I'd pull over, let it cool down, start her back up, and do it some more. Did that all the way to the shop.

yeah i had a radiator problem with my integra and drove it around overheating for a week..it was a pin having to stop every so often to let it cool down and/or fill the radiator back up. but just didnt drive far. haha. but it seems overheating issues follow me around.

Look's like we are going to have to have ourselves a nice little FL meet over at the Race Rock sometime!

worditsmenick 11-11-2005 03:44 AM

are you on tamparacing.com? there is no bmw post on there at all. haha

Slynke 11-11-2005 03:46 AM

Actually I am.. name is Slynke on there too.

Yea, I went into the "Other" forums, hoping to make a post, and saw that there was only like 1 topic, so I just left. I really don't post there all that much anymore since I got the BMW.

After the engine warms up, turn the heat and fans all the way up. You should be able to make it to the shop alright.

Slynke 11-11-2005 04:12 AM

Didn't work for me. On a normal basis it does, but not in my case. Trust me, I definatly tried it. It's supposed to blow the hot air off of the engine, into the cargo area, but it wasn't anywhere near enough to stop it from overheating.

worditsmenick 11-11-2005 04:14 AM

yeah i got the same name too.
tr not as great as i hoped for.

Slynke 11-11-2005 04:19 AM
