Possible GB: Carbon Fiber Hoods

Who's down for a group buy of CF hoods? These will have a UV coating to prevent discoloring (might be slightly yellow or green, like all VIS hoods due to the resin used).

CAN be painted!

Cost, with 5: $430 picked up from NJ
with 10: $400 picked up
with 20: $350 picked up

I CAN SHIP OUT TO ANY GREYHOUND GPX TERMINAL!! Check your local GPX terminal here: http://www.shipgreyhound.com/locations/locations.asp You will have to pick it up from there. Reply to this post with your location so I can get a quote.

I can ship too, but I have no idea what the cost would be.

Delivery will be from China to NJ by sea, so it will take at least 25 business days for delivery. Unfortunately I need payment up front. You all know I'm good for it though... I've done two GB's from China of HID kits and you all were satisfied, right?

3 year warranty!

UV coating to protect from the sun!

Here are the pictures of hoods, the pricing is only for the E36 OEM hoods. E36 NON-OEM scoop hoods is +$150 each. Haven't gotten pricing for the E36, E60, or E90 hoods yet.

tiFreak 08-07-2009 04:42 PM

I haven't heard great things about VIS hoods fitment and quality, Eurodyne had a GB on BF.C but they just recently sold out of sedan hoods

pnosker 08-07-2009 05:19 PM

Update, $430 each for 5, $400 each for 10!!!!

I've seen Mad-Machine's hood and it looks awesome. His is a VIS hood.

Interested. Do you have any idea how they are packed? I think using the original shipping box with insurance via Fedex might not be more than $50. I just shipped a huge 100 lb air conditioner from OH to OR for $40. These hood weigh something like 15lbs right?

pnosker 08-07-2009 11:17 PM

No idea... sorry. I'll ask.

pnosker 08-08-2009 01:00 AM

LOL... so I started this thread at BF.com and it got locked. Those idiots.

dguzzardo22 08-08-2009 05:04 AM

we would still have to pay shipping ontop of the final price,

how much shipped to 70443 ??

pnosker 08-08-2009 05:36 AM

Yes you would, but I'm not sure. eBay sellers are charging $150 I believe... but I think it's likely cheaper. Fedex shows around $100 for shipping with dimensions of 48x50x6 (not sure actual dimensions) and 22 lbs.

Damn... shipping is expensive for large items! I might be able to get them dropshipped. I'll see what I can do.

pnosker 08-08-2009 05:40 AM

NICE! I can ship via Greyhound for around $50 each. The downside is you have to pick it up at the nearest Greyhound station that serves you. Check here: http://www.shipgreyhound.com/locations/locations.asp and tell me which greyhound station is closest and I can get shipping quotes! Woot! Cheap shipping!!!
