Updates So I sold my black slicktop and bought an Avus Cali Top from Minnesota, then drove it back. Just clay-barred and waxed it, its now on Bilstien B8's and Eibachs, with 17" M3 wheels. Got a set of Euro Glass Headlights I still need to put on. Been sorting through small issues, loving the car. Thought I'd share some pics, if any So Cal members want to meet up at Supercar Sundays in the Valley or another meetup, I'm always game! http://www.apexspeedtech.com/IMG_7565.jpg http://www.apexspeedtech.com/IMG_7560.jpg |
Glad to see another set of Style 24 rims. Are those staggered 71/2 front 8 ½ rear ? Also brand and size tires ? |

1 Attachment(s) BMW Made One 323ti M3 with those same rims. If you look closely near the valve stems there should be a number 350 on front and 360 on rear. 7 ½ " x 17" rims on front with 225/45-17 tires and 8 ½" x 17" rims on rear with 245/40-17 tires. |
Maybe you can help me solve a mystery then: When I swapped the wheels over, I moved the rears from the old car to the front, and found the lug bolts were too long in front. So now I have the fronts on 10mm wheel spacers. I assumed it had something to do with the vented discs on the 1998 vs. my 1996. I never suspected the wheels could be different offsets. Could it be that the reason I had to use the spacers? Maybe everything will fit fine without them if I swap the wheels front to back? I'm home Sunday and will know more then. |
Shouldn't need spacers at all. 8 ½" rims will fit on back but not the front. |
